StubHub is an American company that helps people buy and sell tickets for sports, concerts, theater, and other live entertainment events. It is the world's largest ticket marketplace. The company doesn't currently share its financial information publicly, but in 2015 it had over 16 million unique visitors and nearly 10 million live events per month. StubHub was created in 2000 by Eric Baker and Jeff Fluhr, who were students of Stanford Business School and former investment bankers. In 2007, it was bought by eBay for $310 million. Viagogo, headed by StubHub's founder Eric Baker, purchased the company for $4.05 billion on February 13th, 2020 just before the COVID-19 pandemic stopped ticket sales.
