Hyundai Motor America is headquartered in Fountain Valley, Calif., and is the U.S. subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company of Korea. Over half of the cars sold in the U.S. are manufactured by its Alabama based manufacturing facility which was built in 2005 and was lauded as a cut above for its modern assembly line. The company also has engineering facilities in Michigan and design, research, and testing grounds in California.
