Fareportal, Inc. is an US-based online travel company, which provides travel booking capabilities through its subsidiaries, CheapOair, FareBuzz, and OneTravel. The company also owns Travelong, Duke’s Court Travel, Fareportal Media Group, RoyalScenic, ClubMiles, Tripcombi, and WKTravel. Fareportal was established in 2003 by businessman Sam S. Jain. At first, it was a business-to-business enterprise which constructed and sold a consumer interface for retail travel agents. In 2006, under the leadership of CEO Sam S. Jain, the company refocused on business-to-consumer sales with the launch of the online air travel booking site CheapOair. Fareportal has its headquarters in New York City, with additional operations in North America, Europe, and Asia. The company employs a staff of approximately 3,500 people from all over the world, with a presence in 195 countries.
