Aloft Hotels is a hotel chain owned by Marriott International that opened its first location in 2008 at the Trudeau International Airport in Montreal.

Aloft Hotels have since expanded across North America and internationally, with most locations situated in city centers or close to airports. As of June 30, 2020, the chain operated 183 hotels with 30,660 rooms.

Aloft is most notable for its modern architecture design style. Another characteristic of Aloft hotels is that they have creative names for basic hotel amenities. For example, in each hotel, the swimming pool is referred to as “splash”.
